We have been very busy in the store since unloading our shipment last week, it has been like a second Christmas unwrapping all the goodies that I had forgotten about. I have kept this 18
th century
Gustavian bureau a secret, but at last it has arrived in our store and I cannot stop admiring it. It is no doubt one of my favourite pieces of furniture that I found...

I love the soft blue grey colour and the handles. It would look stylish in any setting.

These coffee dispensers are quite unusual. I think they date to around c.1910. They would make a talking point in a kitchen, or would be ideal for a coffee shop.

We have two of these large Turkish oil pots. They are not a pair but still look great together.

A decorative French cast iron urn.

A French marble and silver plate cheese server, this dates to early 20
th century.

And a huge French glass cloche,
sizeable enough to cover a large cake. These are very hard to find.

This is the decorative top to a French mirrored door
armoire. It is still in pieces and will hopefully come together tomorrow.

A chunky French chopping block, these make
unusual wine or side tables.

Cream stoneware pots (there are four of these) and an earthenware bowl.
Just a reminder, we are closed at the moment while we put the shop back together. We will reopen at 10am this coming Saturday. I will post some more photos in a few days time so you can see our progress and more treasures!
It is all so nice ...!!!...like the chopping block the most !!!...have a nice week darling.....xxx...
ReplyDeleteHi Tammy,
ReplyDeleteOMG....the first picture of the 18th century bureau is beyond stunning, it wouldn't be hard to twist anyone's arm to take that home. Maybe that could replace the beautiful furniture piece you put in your bathroom!!
LOVE the turkish oil pots, another thing on my wish list. They look HUGE but for me that is one thing I love as they would pack a punch visually.
Also loved the earthenware bowl and the white pots that you included in the same photo.
All looking drool worthy....I'm going to go and buy myself a tattslotto ticket so I can darken your door and go completely WILD!!! (sigh, I guess that what dreams are made of).
Have a great day tomorrow.

Hai Tammy, thanks for your comment at my blog.
ReplyDeleteI like to look around at yours and will follow. It's beautifull ...I love the picture of the cloche and the top of the door! Greetings Diana
Hello everyone,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comments.
And Janine, I must admit, the thought has totally crossed my mind with the Swedish bureau. I was hoping for a tall bureau for my space as I have so many books and magazines to store away. But it would look unbelievable! If it doesn't find a home, who knows?
And yes, go buy a tattslotto ticket, for sure. It may be your lucky week...
Thanks again, I wish all a lovely weekend.
Regards, Tammy
